At last, the finale you’ve all been waiting for! The final fight of the Super Ultra Gathering Deluxe Tournament! It’s been a wild ride and this last match in particular was absolutely bonkers! In all of the previous matches, I got maybe thirty or forty people at most who casted their vote for their favourite character to win. This one though? Over a hundred and fifty people ended up participating! That’s freaking INSANE! I will admit, I was silently rooting for Dennis to win since he’s the plucky underdog of this whole thing and he managed to make it to the finals but he ended up getting creamed by the Brick stans. It got so bad, I gave him an RNG Hail-Mary to see if I could give him another chance. I decided to flip a coin and whoever’s side ended up landing would get a whopping 50 extra points added to their results. Dennis’s side ended up landing face up but even with that generous boost, the gap was still too big and Brick ended up securing the final win. Even when he ends up winning, my dog still ends up losing. Whatcha gonna do?
Also, I wish to give a special thanks to Hunter-Husky. They ended up drawing this amazing comic for me even though they weren’t *technically* open for commissions. I approached the dude on Twitter and asked if they would be willing to draw this for me because I had my heart set on them drawing the big finale to my tournament. Much to my surprise, they actually agreed to draw this thing for me! For the record, I wouldn’t suggest doing what I did since I think I just approached them at a good time or something. My advice is to wait until they’re actually open for commissions or to go onto their Patreon and to pledge some money to them so you can leave a request. Regardless, I’m so freaking psyched with how well this turned out! Thanks again, man!

“Greetings everyone. I’m George Moosefari...”
“...And I’m Tony Duffy!”
“Apologies in advance if you’re having difficulties hearing us right now over all this commotion in the background. The audience is being quite vocal in their anticipation for tonight’s match.”
“And why shouldn’t they be excited, George? This is the big one! The grand ending of the Super Ultra Fighting Gathering Deluxe Tournament! It’s Brick versus Dennis, bull versus dog, passion versus determination! It’s going down tonight and only one of these titans are gonna be stepping out of the ring with a championship belt around their hips and a fat cash prize in their hands!”
“Well put, Tony. You certainly have a way with words.”
“Aww, thanks. You’re not half-bad yourself, buddy.”
“I’m honestly curious how much longer the crowd can wait at this point. They’re getting pretty restless for the fight to begin.”
“Looks like they won’t have to wait much longer, George! Here comes the Sizzling Comet himself! It’s Dennis Leblanc, marching down the entrance ramp!”
“I must say, Mister Leblanc is looking pretty confident right now. Quite different from the flustered young man we interviewed yesterday.”
“Of course he’s confident. You’d have to be to stand in front of thousands, if not millions of viewers as you make your way down towards potential victory. At the very least, you have to be good at pretending to be confident. I must say though, the big pooch’s new outfit is looking pretty snazzy.”
“I’m personally more of a fan for his old attire. That singlet looked nice on him.”
“Maybe, but it made him look like he just stepped out of the local college’s wrestling club and that image isn’t gonna help you if you want to win something like this.”
“Speaking of wrestling, how do you feel about this fight being settled with a wrestling match, Tony?”
“Well, as someone who used to be a pro-wrestler, I can’t think of a better way to end this tournament with a bang! Speaking of bangs, coming down the opposite side of the arena, it’s the bull with patriotic pride, Brick Wilson!”
“Goodness, look at that entrance. Smoke, escorts, music and pyrotechnics. When Mister Wilson makes an entrance, he certainly knows how to capture peoples attention.”
“Well what do you expect? People expect a show so you gotta give them what they want.”
“Both combatants have now stepped into the ring and are staring the other wrestler down. I can practically feel the tension from all the way from here.”
“You got that right, George. Dennis and Brick both really want that win and I’m damn sure they’ll give it their all tonight!”
“It looks like the match is about to begin at any moment, and I for one can not wait to watch this battle unfold...”
“AND HE MISSES WITH THE SUPERKICK!!!”
“Talk about your unexpected recoveries. Oh, for those just tuning in, the match between Mister Wilson and Mister Leblanc has been going on for several minutes with seemingly no end in sight. So far, the masked bovine has been dominating his opponent but the determined canine has been managing to avoid elimination through brute strength, a strong defence and luck.”
“You got that right! This match just keeps heating up!”
“I must say though, I’m not sure on Mister Leblanc’s current strategy at the moment. Right now, he’s sticking primarily with classic wrestling moves but he hasn’t really employed any advanced moves so far. Sure, the old-fashioned techniques might work every once in a while but you can’t stick with the basics forever. It’s like that one match between Ink the Squid and Gorgeous Lawrence in the fall of ‘98. Sure, Lawrence was more confident back then but that doesn’t excuse-“
“Hey, George? You know I love commentating with you but while you were busy talking, we missed about five big moves between Brick and Dennis. Maybe we can save this discussion for after the match, huh?”
“Oh, my apologizes, Tony. What’s happening now?”
“Well they’re circling each other...and Dennis goes in for a bearhug! Wow! ”
“Good heavens! He’s positively crushing his opponent with an iron grip!”
“Look at the sheer amount of pain plastered on Brick’s face!”
“Well, the confident cattle *did* say he wanted to see just how strong Mister Leblanc truly was. I guess this is one of those ‘be careful what you wish for’ moments.”
“Sweet Jesus, how much longer can Brick last inside that bearhug?! He’s practically getting a free chiropractic session right now !”
“It’s tough to say, Tony. I just hope Mister Wilson has the common sense to tap out if the pressure goes up too much.”
“Brick’s starting to go limp...he’s fading in and out...this could be...HE BREAKS OUT WITH A SUDDEN STRIKE TO THE FACE! THE BULL IS NOW FREE, FOLKS!”
“Impressive recovery from the masked luchador there. I thought for certain that he was about to pass out in his opponent’s arms.”
“Honestly George, I think Brick thought the same thing. He does not look like he’s in great shape right now.”
“I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see if he’ll manage to recover enough strength for the rest of the match.”
“Hey, George, remember when you wondered if Brick could recover from that earlier bearhug?”
“Yes, why do ask?”
“Well, I think we can both agree that fear turned out to not really be a huge concern, huh?”
“You got that right, Tony. I don’t think anyone could maintain a sharpshooter hold like that for over two minutes if they were running out of preverbal fumes.”
“Gotta say though, I do *not* want to be in Dennis’s shoes right now. Not a ropebreak in sight and he’s just gotta keep rejecting the referee’s offer to give up. Resilient or not, that’s gotta hurt!”
“Still though, you have to wonder what will break first. The cattle’s grip or the dog’s resolve?”
“Frankly I think Dennis’s legs are due to break at any second but hey, that’s just me.”
“Just look at those cascading tears rolling down the canine’s face. I have not seen a wrestler so teary-eyed since Rowdy Randal during last year’s Winter-Slam event.”
“Hey, George. Is it just me or is Brick looking a little exhausted right now?”
“I do believe you’re right, Tony. I’m wondering just how much longer he can...oh dear. I guess that answers my question.”
“Brick has just released the hold, people! I guess even he couldn’t maintain a sharpshooter like that forever. That must suck for Brick but I’m sure Dennis is feeling pretty relived right about now.”
“Absolutely. If he’s this excited now, just wait until he can actually gains sensation back into those legs of his.”
“The bull is getting up...he’s pulling his opponent up by the collar...and they’re back at it, folks! Dennis and Brick are now grappling with each other! God damn, what a spectacle this match has been so far!”
“Dear heavens. How much longer can they keep going at this rate?”
“With a fight like this? As long as they can, George. As long as they can...”
“As we close in on the fifteen-minute mark, tonight’s combatants have devolved into circling each other with desperate looks in their eyes. Tony, I must get your opinion over what you think is going through their minds right now.”
“Oh trust me, George. There’s nothing going through their minds besides pure survival instinct. Brick and Dennis have both taken a lot of abuse tonight and they both know it. At this point, the only way you can win is to provoke your opponent into making a fatal mistake!”
“That would explain all the fake-outs we’ve been seeing recently.”
“Mmhmm, that’s right, George.”
“Well it seems like Mister Wilson is trying out a new strategy right now. It looks as though he’s beckoning Mister Leblanc to just come up and attack him already.”
“Oh please tell me Dennis isn’t seriously gonna take him up on that offer, is he? It’s so OBVIOUSLY a trap!”
“It certainly looks like he’s considering it...”
“No, no, no! Don’t do it, man! You’ll be playing right into his hooves!”
“Mister Leblanc definitely looks hesitant. Will he do it? Will he take the bull up on his offer? He’s taking a step back...and goes for a leaping lunge!”
“And the bull goes do-wait, what!?”
“...I’m sorry, I blinked. What on earth just happened?”
“I...S-Somehow, Brick managed to catch Dennis at the last second and...Now he’s lifting him up into the air?! What the hell just happened!?”
“It looks like the canine heavyweight is thinking the same thing, Tony. I don’t think anyone was expecting Mister Wilson to be *that* fast.
“God damn, that was damn lucky for Brick! A second later and he would’ve been sent straight to the ground!”
“It appears as though the masked bovine is lifting up his opponent as high as he can. What on earth does he have planned for him?”
“Oh, I have an idea what he’s got in store!”
“What do you-Sweet Mary and Joesph!”
“Whoo! That’s what I’m talking about! Hit him with a powerbomb! That dog is gonna feel that move for WEEKS!”
“I think we just felt the impact from all the way up here! How can Mister Leblanc possibly recover from a move like that?”
“That’s the thing,George. He can’t! There’s no way in hell someone can bounce back from a hit like that!
“Are you sure about that, Tony?”
“Absolutely! Brick has this thing in the bag!”
“Is that why Mister Leblanc is currently peeling himself off of the floor?”
“Wait, what?”
“I’m serious. Look down at the ring. He’s clearly trying to get back up to continue.”
“I don’t believe it! That mutt is seriously trying to stand back up? Does he have a death wish or something?!”
“It’s certainly tough to say at this point. Can he do it? Can he recover from that shocking slam?”
“His body is certainly trying to make him stay down for good. God, this is insane!”
“Come on, Mister Leblanc. You can do it. You can-...Oh dear.”
“DENNIS IS DOWN, FOLKS! DENNIS IS OFFICIALLY DOWN FOR THE COUNT! THEY’RE RINGING THE BELL AND BRICK HAS JUST BECOME THE WINNER OF THE SUPER ULTRA GATHERING DELUXE TOURNAMENT! WHOO! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS, GEORGE?!”
“I will admit this is certainly a significant event, although frankly every match in this tournament has been important in one way or another. Each and every fighter gave it their all but in the end, there was only ever going to be one winner. I’m just glad that Mister Leblanc held out until the bitter end.”
“WHOO! U-S-A! U-S-A!! U-S-A!!!”
“I think it’s safe to say my co-host is thrilled by tonight’s match. Not that I blame him, of course. This fight is one for the history books, people.”
“Hell yeah, it is!”
“Before we go and celebrate this momentous occasion, let’s sign off here. I’m George Moosefari...”
“...And I’m Tony Duffy! If you’ve been following this tournament from the very beginning, I only have three things to say to you. Drive safe, have a fantastic evening and thanks for all of your support! We couldn’t have covered this tournament without you! Thank you and good night!”

I will admit, I was worried that something catastrophic would’ve gone wrong with my personal life and I wouldn’t have been able to finish this tournament. The fact that I was able to get this project to completion is pretty cool, not gonna lie.
Also it’s technically not finished yet. I still have an epilogue planned where we see Brick getting his belt and a loser card made for Dennis.
